About the Producer
A single-origin, our Kenya Tinganga Estate AA is part of a microlot grown by a single producer in Kiambu County, Kenya. All of these beans come from the state small 182 hectare (about 450 acres) producer that’s about 5,000 feet above sea level. It’s tough to get much more single-origin than that! What’s in it for you? You know you’re getting a consistent bean when you order this from Sugarwood.
Kiambu enjoys more precipitation than most areas in Kenya. They get two rainy season there that help make their deep-red volcanic soil give birth to amazing coffee beans.
The Tinganga Estate AA is hand picked for the ripest of coffee cherries. From there, producers deliver the beans for wet-milling on the very same day. The Tinganga Estate AA is slightly fermented and then sun-dried at Sasini Coffee Mills.
